Codec profiles vary. Unprotected files using common profiles work best. A file extension alone does not identify every codec detail inside a container.

Get a cleaner join on the first attempt

An audio merger can connect the files you provide, but it cannot repair a clipped recording or make inconsistent source levels disappear. A few checks before processing save time.

  1. Prepare edits first. Trim unwanted starts and endings before adding a clip. The joiner appends the complete source file.
  2. Place tracks in final playback order. Read the list from top to bottom and check names that look similar.
  3. Avoid repeated lossy encoding. Re-encoding MP3 or AAC several times can add audible artifacts. Keep a lossless source where possible.
  4. Match loudness before joining. This tool does not normalize volume. A quiet clip remains quiet next to a loud one.

How do I merge audio files online?

Are my audio files uploaded to a server?

The selected audio is processed in browser memory and is not uploaded to a SpeechText.AI conversion server. The page still loads code and analytics through normal internet requests.
