There is no single best audio format. Pick one based on playback support, file size and whether another lossy encoding pass is acceptable.

Start with 192 kbps if you do not have a specific delivery requirement.
A higher bitrate cannot restore detail missing from the source. WAV and FLAC use lossless output methods, so the bitrate menu is mainly relevant to lossy formats such as MP3, AAC and M4A.

Choose MP3 for broad compatibility, M4A or AAC for compact files, WAV for uncompressed audio, or FLAC for lossless compression. For speech and general sharing, MP3 at 192 kbps is a practical starting point.

You can select multiple tracks. The practical limit comes from the available memory and processing power on your device, so very large batches may work better when split into smaller groups and joined in a second pass.
A current mobile browser with JavaScript and WebAssembly support can work for smaller files. Desktop Chrome, Edge or Firefox is the better choice for long recordings because phones and tablets place tighter limits on memory and background tabs.
No. It places complete files end to end in the chosen order. It does not add silence, overlap tracks, normalize volume or create crossfades. Add those edits to the source clips before joining them.
This page merges complete audio files. It does not trim, split or cut sections from a track. Edit each source clip first, then add the finished clips to the joiner in playback order.
Common causes include an unsupported codec profile, a protected file, low device memory, a closed tab or blocked WebAssembly code. Try a current desktop browser, convert the problem file to MP3 or WAV, close memory-heavy tabs and process a smaller batch.
